“Jahaji Family” is a 2 hour long docu-drama set in India and Trinidad & Tobago during the period 1850-1889. It follows the journey of an indentured laborer from India to Trinidad.

The movie recreates important events in the history of both countries during that period. “Jahaji Family” examines the development of East Indian family and community life in Trinidad. It is based on real characters and real historical events.

The movie is based on research by Shamshu Deen.
